My 70 days at Camp Syruz

Thanks to JABATAN LATIHAN KHIDMAT NEGARA, I didn’t get to countdown for yr 2007..……haiz….;( had been very busy checking stuffs in my luggage, so that I get to wake up later the next day to report at PISA on 1.1.2007 on time…..new yr’s day eh……haiz…..

DAY 1

I arrived at PISA just ON TIME (about 0900, my neighbour told me no need to go there so early coz got a lot of ppl….)……….the moment I got out from my dad’s car……OMG!!!!OMG!!!!...It was chaotic..ren shan ren hai ler…everyone there (especially youngsters like me) bin chau chau eh…. coz the whole area was fully packed plus the a lot of parents gather around the registration table without queuing….

The registration table is already small n messy enough d, u all aunty uncle sumore go stand n cramp there 4 what? The organizer oso stupid 1,use a bigger n more spacious table la next time, make sure everything is organized properly……. hey, aunty uncle…..PLS la….chiak ka ane lau liao ko bey hiao pai dui hor????!!!.....cnt they c behind the table was an entire car park full of Bin chau chau teenagers lining up????(Says who teenagers nowadays dunno how to line up??? the scene here proofs that the elders r the ones tat doesn’t understand the QUEUE word)….. ’thanks’ to these pak cik mak cik, we, all the trainees had to stand in line for over 90 mins……..under the HOT sun, I can even feel my skin BURNing, my face turning into the color of a tomato…if tee yee n gabi were there, they’ll laugh at me n compare my red face with hai fang’s pencil case…. …..really torturing!!! it was so hot n stuffy (mayb taller ppl cnt feel that coz they can get fresh air easier compared to short ppl like me). Everyone Sweating like mad…..till the whole body so sticky, felt so irritated n annoyed!!!.........Finally, it’s my turned to register at the counter……

Looked around for the bus to my camp…..oh yes I saw it d…..walked there with my parents helping me to carry my stuffs…….when I was about to board the bus, a DARK SKIN uncle shouted from behind :’OI, tak boleh naik bas la! tak da PERMIT ke kem …….” WAT the ……..NO PERMIT??? how come…..??? but I tot the organizer should had solve this problem earlier……….not till today only say buses NO PERMIT…….CHIA LAT d this time…..how m I suppose to go to my camp ar???!!!OH ya, MY PARENTS!!!!

While waiting for the buses to get their PERMITs, standing under the shady trees, feeling a lil bit hungry..…..i saw a guy….yup…..he looks so familiar….but I cnt remember where I saw him b4…ok nvm tat……I remembered he was just standing beside me when I was at the registration counter signing n checking my details…..ok ….not on purpose, i glanced at his counter n saw him also same camp with me… (later on I found out that he’s SIU YUN”S nieghbour,Justin, yea…I remembered I saw him somewhere b4….at siu yun’s hse…..haha) .i told my parents so n my parents went to ask his parents whether they would like to send their son there as our camp is not very far from PISA ……together with two other cars…don’t even know who they are….total of 3 cars….one PAJERO, a volvo, n a wira, we started the journey to CAMP SYRUZ Machang Bubuk, Bukit Mertajam. Sudarat’s ex bf RV tumpang my car there, while aunty Alex tumpang the pajero. We arrived at the camp at noon…..a few ppl there only coz almost all the buses from PISA got NO PERMIT….then one of the parent suggested we all go n have lunch at BM first b4 coming back to the camp……..last meal of tasty food…… b4 I come back for holidays on CNY break…….haha….dare not say that in front of my parents……or else …..?

after lunch, we went back to report at the camp……u know what? Parents aren’t allowed to go in the camp site…..not even on the 1st day……not even to help trainees like me to carry their heavy bags……

I was shocked when I found out that the girls dormitory is situated at the bottom of the hill…..a very long way from the camp entrance………while the boys’ dorms r just a few steps from the entrance………WALAU!!!!!......so not fair……we girls had to walk so far to our dorms with luggage n pail….. …….*sob sob*…….ARGH!!! after reporting at the counter, we have to let the PEGAWAI MEDIC n jurulatihs check our belongings…c whether we brought along weapons(knifes, scissors, etc). my fever n flu tablets were confiscated……upon the reason: TAKUT anda OVERDOSE makan ubat untuk COMMIT SUICIDE. Apa ni?!!!! ok suak! u want keep u keep lor……after surrendered my medicine, I walked all the way to my dorm – DOM 8, with my both hands carrying a bag each + a pail, n a backpack…….fully loaded with my stuffs (esp food!!!) Oh GOSH!!!!my dorm’s the last dorm at the far end according to the numbers……1 to 8…..haiyoh!!!!this time really SWEAT!!!lll_-………

My dorm looks like a extremely large rectangular container with roofs n windows n 2 doors……Peh Ni, my ex-primary schoolmate greeted me….haha….thank god there’s some 1 I knew same dorm with me…..haha…chosen a bed next to a tb from union hs. she was so busy unpacking n tidying her stuffs in her locker…….ok well, since everyone’s so busy, I also unpack my stuffs…..but ….locker’s so small, how m I gonna keep all my things in that tiny locker…..?that’s the first problem I faced. After I gau tim the locker problem, here comes the bed n BEDSHEETS! SHYT La……how come the bed’s covered with DUST……Eiw!!!!….i’m allergic to dust eh…..cham!!! morever I forgot to bring safety pins to pin my bed sheet to my bed so that It’ll b easier for me to tidy my bed every morning……ARGH!!!!!

At last, i managed to settle everything with the help from my dorm mates…….thanks a lot ya…….

We headed towards the canteen in a group of 7 chinese girls from dorm 8 in the evening for dinner with our trays n cups they provide us…haha…luckily .i brought along my own fork n spoon from hse….or else I dunno how I’m gonna eat with their cacat mia fork n spoon….eee…….bleuks!

Row call at night about 10pm after supper. stand there listening to the Jurulatihs crappin……for about 30 mins ++……about the gelaran given to us girls : WIRAWATI, while boys are known as WIRA..........

went to bed after row call…..damn tired…..all Chinese slept in a row…..haha……

Teardrops of sorrows

teardrops
is a sign of fragility
it symbolizes feebleness
that was what i used to have in my mind.
sorrow
has been part and parcel of life
gloomy-days will always come
downcast is inevitable
all these years
life has proven to me that shedding tears isn't a solution to problem,
no matter how much tears i've shed,
stockpiles of them are still there waiting for me
Now,
I'm 'immuned' to sorrows,
I've casted a shielding spell that'll protects me from woe
teardorps of sorrows will never be alive
this i promise myself
it'll never invade my life ever again.
